Terms of Use
Effective
Acceptance of these terms
By downloading, installing or using StreamAscent IPTV, you accept these Terms of Use and Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement, which governs anything not covered here.
These Terms of Use apply to StreamAscent IPTV on every platform it’s available on — iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV.
What StreamAscent IPTV is
StreamAscent IPTV is a media player, nothing more. It does not provide, host, sell, curate or endorse any channel, stream or piece of content.
It plays whatever your own configured provider serves, the way a web browser renders whatever a website sends it. StreamAscent IPTV has no catalog, no library and no content of its own to show you.
Your provider, your responsibility
You supply your own provider — the Xtream-compatible service you sign in with. We have no relationship with, control over or responsibility for any provider: not its availability, not its content, and not its legality where you live.
You are solely responsible for having the right to access what you watch, and for following your provider’s own terms of service. If a provider stops working, changes its terms, or turns out to be operating unlawfully, that is a matter between you and that provider.
No affiliation
StreamAscent IPTV is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any content provider, broadcaster or rights holder. Its only relationship with Apple is as an independent developer distributing an app through the App Store, under Apple’s standard developer terms.
StreamAscent Pro
StreamAscent Pro is optional. Everything described in the Free tier works without it. You can add StreamAscent Pro in one of two ways: a one-time purchase, or a monthly plan that renews automatically.
The price for whichever option you choose is shown by the App Store before you buy anything; we don’t set or display prices ourselves. Purchases are charged to the Apple Account you’re signed in with.
The monthly plan is an auto-renewing subscription: it renews for another month unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings, and refunds are Apple’s to grant, not ours.
If StreamAscent Pro is missing after reinstalling the app or moving to a new device, use Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account. One purchase covers your devices, the way Apple’s purchases normally do.
Free trial
StreamAscent Pro includes one free month for first-time buyers of the monthly plan. It starts only when you actively choose to start it inside the app — never automatically, and never just by installing or opening StreamAscent IPTV.
It is an App Store introductory offer: it runs on your Apple Account, is available once per Apple Account, and the monthly plan continues after the month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends — then nothing is charged. You manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings.
If the month ends without the monthly plan continuing, nothing you already have is taken away: files you downloaded keep playing, and subtitles you already generated keep attaching to their titles. Only new Pro actions — starting another download, generating another subtitle track, and so on — ask you to unlock StreamAscent Pro.
We may change or end this offer for new users at any time; doing so does not affect a free month you have already started.
Acceptable use
Use StreamAscent IPTV only in ways that are lawful where you live and that respect your provider’s own terms.
Don’t redistribute the app, or access it, outside the channels Apple provides — for example by modifying it, reverse-engineering it beyond what the law allows, or distributing copies of it yourself.
Don’t use the app for anything unlawful, including using it to access a provider or content you don’t have the right to access.
Copyright complaints
StreamAscent IPTV hosts and indexes no content of its own — there is nothing on any server of ours to take down, because we don’t operate one.
If you believe the app itself, or this website, infringes your copyright, write to our copyright contact at support@streamascent.com with: the work you believe is infringed, where you found it in the app or on the site, your contact details, and a good-faith statement that your complaint is accurate.
If your complaint is about what a specific provider streams, contact that provider directly — that stream and that decision belong to them, not to us.
Open-source components
StreamAscent IPTV uses open-source software components. Each one’s licence is listed inside the app, under Settings → About → Licenses. We don’t repeat that list here so it never goes out of date.
No warranty
StreamAscent IPTV is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including, to the extent the law allows, any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We don’t promise that the app, your provider, or any content your provider serves will be uninterrupted, error-free or available at any particular time.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of StreamAscent IPTV or of your provider’s service — including lost data, lost access to content, or a provider becoming unavailable.
Nothing in these terms limits any right that mandatory consumer-protection law where you live gives you and that cannot be waived by agreement.
Governing law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Québec, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles — the same place StreamAscent IPTV is developed and published from.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Use as StreamAscent IPTV changes. A new version appears at this same address with a new effective date, printed below and again at the bottom of this page when you print it.
Continuing to use StreamAscent IPTV after that date means you accept the update.
