The basics
What is StreamAscent IPTV?
A media player for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV. You sign in with an account from an Xtream-compatible provider, and the app plays that account’s live TV, movies and series.
Does StreamAscent IPTV include channels or a TV service?
No. It is a player. It includes no channels, streams or content, and we don’t sell, host or recommend any. Without a provider account of your own, the app has nothing to play.
Which providers does it work with?
Any provider that gives you Xtream-compatible login details: a server URL, a username and a password. We can’t recommend one, and we have no relationship with any of them.
Does it support M3U playlists?
Not as playlist files yet. If your provider sent a single link ending in get.php, player_api.php or xmltv.php, paste it on the sign-in screen and the app reads the server URL, username and password from it. Plain .m3u files and other playlist links aren’t supported yet.
Is it legal to use?
StreamAscent IPTV is a player, the way a web browser is: it plays what your account gives it. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to watch what your provider offers where you live.
Devices
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone with iOS 26, iPad with iPadOS 26, Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 26, and Apple TV with tvOS 26.
Is everything available on Apple TV?
Almost. AI subtitles and trailers aren’t available on Apple TV; everything else is.
Do I have to set it up on every device?
No. Profiles, favorites and watch progress sync through your iCloud account. Passwords travel separately in iCloud Keychain; Apple TV doesn’t have it, so it asks for the password once.
Free and Pro
What’s free?
Watching: live TV, movies, series, the full player, the program guide, favorites, Continue Watching and iCloud sync — for as long as you use the app.
What’s in StreamAscent Pro?
Offline downloads, AI subtitles, more profiles, a sleep timer, parental controls, new-episode tracking and language grouping. See the full comparison.
How does the free month work?
It starts only when you tap Try free for 1 month — never on its own. It is an App Store trial on your Apple Account: everything in StreamAscent Pro is unlocked on all your devices for a month, then the monthly plan continues unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the month ends. Cancel in your Apple Account settings.
What happens when the trial ends?
You keep everything in Free. Files you downloaded keep playing and subtitles you generated keep attaching; only new Pro actions, like starting another download, ask you to upgrade.
How much does StreamAscent Pro cost?
You can buy it once or choose a monthly plan. The App Store shows the exact price in your currency before you confirm anything.
Does one purchase cover all my devices?
Yes. A purchase made with your Apple Account covers iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV.
How do I restore a purchase?
In the app, open Settings, go to StreamAscent Pro and choose Restore Purchases, signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with.
How do I cancel the monthly plan or ask for a refund?
Apple handles billing. Manage or cancel the monthly plan in your Apple Account settings, and request refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com. The one-time purchase has nothing to cancel.
Privacy
Do you collect my data?
No. The developer receives nothing from the app. The only time we see anything is when you choose to send us an email.
Where are my provider details stored?
On your devices. Your password is kept only in iCloud Keychain, end-to-end encrypted by Apple. Your details are sent only to the server address you typed.
Does this website use cookies or analytics?
No cookies, no analytics, no third-party scripts, fonts or embeds. That’s why you didn’t see a cookie banner.
Troubleshooting
I can’t sign in.
Check that the server URL starts with http:// or https:// and includes the port if your provider gave one, then retype the username and password exactly. If your provider sent a link, paste it instead. The setup guide covers each case.
A channel won’t play or keeps buffering.
Streams come from your provider’s servers, so first check the same channel on another device or app. If it fails only in StreamAscent IPTV, send a report from Settings → Help and feedback.
The program guide is empty.
Guide data comes from your provider, and some don’t supply it for every channel.
The app says my subscription is expired.
That message is about your account with your provider, not about StreamAscent Pro. Renew it with your provider.
How do I report a bug or suggest a feature?
In the app: Settings → Help and feedback → Send feedback. Or write to support@streamascent.com.
